Kenafric Industries Limited is one of the largest manufacturers of confectionery, footwear,food and stationery products in Kenya.

With multi billion shillings in turnover we employ 1,250 people. Our products form an important part of everyday life.

Business Divisions

We operate 4 manufacturing divisions:

1. Confectionery division
2. Footwear division
3. Food division
4. Stationery division

Information Technology

We had recognised early that the role of Information Systems will play an important strategic role in the company. Currently there is full integration of the financials, purchasing, sales and inventories.

We are almost through with the integration of the Production System (for footwear division) with all the above and the strategy was to complete this
in phases starting with the footwear division and moving to the confectionery division. The confectionery division Production System was started being implemented in mid 2006 and is still in progress.

This currently provides us with:
- Precise and up to date information,
- Systems to enable the management to control the operation’s better,
- Increasing efficiency of the KI employees

There are numerous plans in place including:
- Implementation of the manufacturing control system in the new factory,
- Investment in both a CRM and a SCM system to further increase efficiency and enhance control.
- VOIP has also been successfully installed at KI.
- The connection between the new factory and the current one has also been completed successfully using latest wireless technology.
